Though the number fluctuates, at present, you can expect us to have approximately 255 people in attendance on any given Sunday.
When You Arrive
Once inside, you will be welcomed by our greeters who will direct you to the sanctuary as well as answer any questions you may have. In addition, they would be glad to arrange a brief tour of our facilities or a visit to any children or youth ministry classrooms that are of particular interest to you or your family.
As You Enter the Sanctuary
Ushers are available to assist you should you have any questions or special needs regarding seating or other general questions. Should special needs arise during the service, feel free to go to an usher to request assistance.
We provide a safe and comfortable nursery for infants from birth to age 3 years of age. They are cared for in a loving and secure environment by a wonderful team of volunteers. This enables parents to attend both, a worship service and Bible Fellowship on Sunday morning as well as our evening study time. The nursery also provides a private place for nursing mothers.
An electronic alert device will be given to you in case your child has a special need during the service.
The 3 & 4-year-olds (Preschool) have a class that goes from Sunday School hour, all the way through Worship Service. Early 5’s – 3rd grade (Primary) have Sunday School hour, then go into the sanctuary for the music portion and are dismissed for the remainder of the worship service to go to their Primary Church while you are attending the service in the sanctuary. On the last Sunday of the month, grades 4-6 also leave the sanctuary after the music and go to Junior Church.
Please know that you are more than welcome to keep your children with you during the morning service if you prefer.
During the Morning Service
We welcome our first-time guests. We won’t put you on the spot or call you to the front. We just ask that you fill out our “visitor’s card” and place it in the offering plate as it is passed, or take it to the welcome center after the service. This will help us keep a record of your visit with us. Please let us know if you wish to have an in-home visit from one of our pastors or deacon/elders.
Our Worship Service
At Hunter’s Creek Community Church (HCCC), we offer various opportunities for you to worship. Our Sunday School for children of all ages, along with our Adult Bible Fellowship classes begin at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. You’ll hear both current and traditional hymns, choir numbers as well as other special musical presentations under the leadership of Pastor Joel. In all of our worship services, our main focus is that you would come in and be a part of worshiping God, singing to the audience of one.
The sermon, usually delivered by Pastor Dale, is relevant, creative, and challenging.
At 6 p.m. on Sundays, we have an evening service at which typically Pastor Dale will engage on a special topic, or have a discussion on the morning message.
During the morning service, we do take an offering. From time to time we also take special offerings for various needs such as a benevolent fund for our church family as well as those in our community who have a need.
This is intended for those who call HCCC their home – so do not feel any obligation to give. As a first-time visitor to Hunters Creek Community Church, you are our guest. We don’t expect you to contribute to the offering unless you feel led to do so. Feel free to sit back and relax as the offering plate is passed.
How Far in Advance Should I Arrive?
Allow about 15 to 20 minutes, especially if you are checking children into their services.
Sunday School, Adult Fellowship classes and the evening service last about an hour. The morning service lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.
What Should I Wear?
In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing business-casual attire. You will also see men in suits and ties, as well as some people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.
What is the Sermon Style?
Pastor Dale is an energetic and passionate communicator of God’s Word. He teaches the timeless truths of the Bible with clarity, humor and real-life application using the New King James Version. His messages are biblical and relevant to today’s changing culture, but the message of the Gospel never changes.
Further, Pastor Dale is committed to expository preaching, that is, “verse by verse” through both the books of the Old and New Testament which comprise the entire Bible, and passages of Scripture. Please visit our online sermons to get a better feel for our pastor’s preaching and teaching.
After the Service
Our pastor loves to meet visitors, and would love to have you come up front after the service to introduce yourself. Also, we would love to have stop by our Welcome Center to get further information about our church. We would love to answer any questions you may have. Also, we encourage you to hang around and enjoy getting to know some of our members and regular attendees. Our people are friendly and caring, and are good about reaching out to visitors. However, please don’t hesitate tor reach out to others yourself. If you decide to make Hunters Creek your home, it won’t be long before you’ll be on the other side reaching out to other new people. So, help us to remain a loving and caring place by reaching out to others on your first visit.
