Because our children are precious to the Lord, we seek to provide a safe, Christian atmosphere for the youngest members of our church family and treat all children as our own. We believe that our loving care for your child will allow you to participate in the multitude of opportunities available here at Hunters Creek.
We believe that children are a gift. Nursery Ministries provides special care to infants and toddlers that contributes to their well being and complements and strengthens the Christian nurture the child experiences at home. The Nursery Ministry is open for all services as well as for Sunday school.
In order to provide godly stewardship in our children's ministries, we have a thorough process for ensuring that children feel and remain safe while in our care. Each volunteer is a church member who has been prepared and vetted to work with your child by means of
An extensive application and interview process
A criminal background check
A minimum of two references
Mandatory sexual abuse awareness training
Vacation Bible School
Each summer we offer a very exciting and active Vacation Bible School program for one week during the summer (usually in July) for K-6 graders.
Our VBS, which usually runs from Monday through Friday in the evenings, includes exciting and unique learning opportunities from the Bible, singing, games, crafts, and other fun activities.
Primary Church (K – 3rd grade) is available every Sunday.
Junior Church (4th – 6th grade) is available every Sunday.
Parents are welcome to keep their children with them during the service in order to worship together as a family if they prefer.
Hunters Creek Community Church also offers a Special Education Children’s Church (SECC) during the morning service. They meet on the first three Sundays of every month. This program runs the entire length of the AM service. Please feel free to drop your child off before church starts and pick them up after the service concludes.
SECC is for children with Special Needs. The target age for these students is 4-12 years old. We have trained and experienced workers attending to the children each week. The class meets downstairs in the Kindergarten room.
The program assists your special child in learning God’s word in a variety of ways! Please call the church office if you would like more information.
Children (grades PreK – 6th) have fun learning about Christ on Wednesday evenings from 6:30–8:15 p.m. from September through April. (Exceptions will be noted on the church calendar.)
The AWANA program is geared to lead children to saving faith in Christ and help them become Approved Workman Who Are Not Ashamed.
Cubbies: 3 years (potty trained) – 5 years
Sparks – Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
T&T – 3rd – 6th Grade
Also, at 5:45 each AWANA evening there is a dinner served in the Fellowship Hall. A free-will offering is taken to help cover the cost of the meal.
